Valentine's Card 2012 |
The posing for this shot was precarious. It took a while.
I cropped the shot and applied a filter to brighten it. Then I sent it to the photo developer for 3.5 x 5 inch prints. I wrote out a little message on office paper trimmed to the same size. Photo and message sheet pinched together, I sewed three sides closed, creating a little pocket (to fill with a Valentine's treat!).
My four-year-old is rather difficult to coax into making his own Valentine's. I found this card to require just the right amount of Oliver-participation. Any more requirements and we may have had a mess AND a grouch on our hands...we all know I'm not the kind of hausfrau to overextend myself in such a way...
Love your idea for the Valentine's card!
