It all started with a colouring sheet Oliver brought home from preschool:
He brought these home when I was expecting little Charlotte and just thinking about setting up a nursery fit for our little baby girl. Looking at these little birds (a sheet I have seen reproduced at several preschool playtimes since O first brought it home...) gave me an idea!
I set to work with some interesting, colour-saturated paper - both patterened and plain, and created little collages in the shape and pattern of his colouring sheet birds.
I really like the effect of the birds (I turned them into vinyl stickers at my local print shop), which I placed onto a "wire" I drew onto the white nursery wall.
I love that our little Charlotte noticed these brightly feathered friends very soon after she was born...they were made with lots of love...
