We put it in our calendar.
We sourced special ingredients. Ones our childrenprobably definitely wouldn't like. That's how we knew they were special ingredients...haha...
The two of us had a marvelous evening (after our two littles had been tucked in) chiffonading our herbs, seasoning liberally with za'atar, and considering our luck in finding the 1930's champagne cups at a German Canadian retirement home bazaar before Christmas.
(To be sure: Jamie Oliver delivers here again! We made our flatbread with beef, and figured a slice of halloumi would be a treat of a stand-in for a vegetarian. His trick to DIY press these into shape is pure genius.)

Yum, looks great! And what a nice date night for both of you!
ReplyDeleteThese look so good. I'm off to check out the recipe.
ReplyDeleteThat looks delicious! Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great night, can't go wrong with good food and champagne :)
ReplyDeleteHow great! Just the two of you having a nice dinner and good champagne! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of champagne on date night. How lovely and romantic and such a good switch up from wine. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for bringing me here :-) Did you just use the halloumi instead of the meat? Do you need to change anything else if you go for the vegetarian version?
