Crocheted Bunting

I've always wanted to make a long string of party bunting to pull out at for festive ocassions here at home.  I like the reuseable aspect of these, as well as the creative work that went into them.

The motivation for this project was really propelled by Krisha!

The first string I completed are edged in hot pinks and lilacs...

...and here I attempted three colours!

I found a nice simple tutorial to follow for my crocheted triangles.  The majority of my cotton crochet yarn is from Switzerland.  Thanks mom, for the donation!

  1. Very cute! I'll have to try this tutorial. :)

  2. Those are just adorable. I especially like the multicolored ones. Great idea!

  3. Oh my! How beautiful Melissa! I would love to know how to crochet and be able to make such pretty things like your party bunting! Someday...... Congratulations!

  4. Wow. It is so beautyful. I love the multicolored ones.

  5. This is so cute. Great new take on the bunting concept. Must try!

  6. These are really grab Melissa! I love the twist on the granny stich! And thanks for the plug!
Also I would LOVE to be able to do a fabric swap with you!

  7. Thanks, friends! These really came together very quickly...I would encourage any beginner crocheter to give this project a go! There are probably lots of versions on the net. Thanks again to Krisha for inspiring me with her garland in the first place...
