Acrylic Afternoons

This year's handmade ornaments were born out of one of those middle-of-the-night inspirations.


the Christmas 2013 collection


...acrylic paint on cotton...

...a thin layer of ModPodge, then left to dry...

...and then sewn into their coordinating felt casings!


 I haven't painted on fabric in years...I have a feeling it's the start of something new for me!

  2. I love your ornaments, never seen anything like it. Looks like it will be a colourful christmas at the Hilltop Haus! I bet you could make some cool scarves using this technique.

    Yes, I most definitely veer towards a non-traditional Christmas colour scheme at our haus; I'd say the official theme is "va-va-vibrant" !
