Finally!
After nearly four years at home raising our young children and happily homesteading, I'm venturing off the hill this autumn to teach a few classes!
I'm beyond excited to be sharing art skills with interested locals. Take note if you're in the Vancouver area, I would love to meet you!
The two classes I am teaching at the Anvil Center are going to be held in brand new studios overlooking the river. Really, an amazing venue!
The sketch class is being held through the Shadbolt Center of the Arts at the local school here on the hill.

How exciting! The classes all sound like a lot of fun and I love how you have something for almost every age group!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck :)
Fantastic! That sounds like fun. Hope it goes well. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that is so exciting, Melissa! If I were there I'd go to all three of your classes!
ReplyDeleteLast summer I taught a sewing class for teenage girls. It was exhausting yet fun at the same time :)
Congrats on your new job, if you lived just a teensy bit closer, I would definitely take one of your classes! And just one more time about the mushrooms, Jamie Oliver has a great recipe with portobello's, ricotta and parmesan (I'm sure it is findable on Google), I'm pretty sure you would love it too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone! I'm very much looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and getting started. Duni: why did I not know you taught sewing last summer?? I'm off to search your blog archives for some notes on that! Marieken: GREAT mushroom recipe tip! You know JO is my fave chef, right? I met him once, years ago...he was very clever and chatty. Am going to be googling the cheesy portabello recipe for sure!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like so much fun! I always thought one day that I'd like to teach some creative classes. It's so fun to share your skills with others. I think you are going to really enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I wish I could be there to take your class in watercolors. That is something I've been wanting to learn. Best of luck with the classes. Hope you have a blast!
